     Edward Pope Cranch was born on 29 May 1809.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ Edward Pope Cranch married Bertha Wood on 15 April 1842.¹ Edward Pope Cranch died on 7 December 1892 at the age of 83.¹

     Elizabeth Eliot Cranch was born on 3 February 1805.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ Elizabeth Eliot Cranch married Rufus Dawes in June 1829.¹ Elizabeth Eliot Cranch died in May 1860 at the age of 55.¹

     Hannah Appleton Cranch was the daughter of John Cranch and Charlotte Dawes Appleton.¹ Hannah Appleton Cranch married Thomas Freeman Moses, son of William Moses and Sarah Freeman, in 1867.¹

     John Quincy Cranch was born on 5 December 1803.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ John Quincy Cranch died on 14 January 1804.¹

     Margaret Dawes Cranch was born on 15 April 1819.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ Margaret Dawes Cranch married Hon. Erastus Brooks on 12 January 1844.¹ Margaret Dawes Cranch died on 30 January 1895 in Staten Island, New York, at the age of 75.¹

     Richard Cranch was born in 1727 in Kingsbridge, Devon.² He married Mary Smith, daughter of Rev. William Smith and Elizabeth Quincy.³ Richard Cranch died on 16 October 1811 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.⁴

     Richard Cranch was born on 26 June 1797.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ Richard Cranch died in August 1824 at the age of 27 unmarried.¹

     Virginia Cranch was born in January 1815.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ Virginia Cranch died on 30 January 1815.¹

     Hon. William Cranch was born on 17 July 1769 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Richard Cranch and Mary Smith.¹ Hon. William Cranch married Anna Greenleaf, daughter of Hon. William Greenleaf and Mary Brown, on 6 April 1795.² Hon. William Cranch died on 1 September 1855 in Washington, District of Columbia, at the age of 86.¹ He graduated from Harvard in 1787 and was admitted to the bar in 1790. He practised for a time in Braintree and Haverhill, Mass., and removed to Washington, D.C., in 1794, where he was Commissioner of Public Buildings in 1800. In 1801 President Adams appointed him to the bench of the circuit court of the District of Columbia. He was reporter of decisions of the supreme court, 1801-15. He was appointed chief justice of the circuit court of the District of Columbia by President Jefferson, Feb. 24, 1806, and continued at the head of the court till 1855. It is recorded that out of all his decisions only two were overruled by the U.S. supreme court. He was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the American Antiquarian Society. Harvard gave him the degree of LL.D. in 1829. He published in six volumes the reports of the circuit court of the district, 1801-41, and also nine volumes of the reports of the U.S. supreme court. He prepared a code of laws for the District of Columbia and published a memoir of John Adams in 1827.¹

     William Greenleaf Cranch was born on 11 January 1796.¹ He was the son of Hon. William Cranch and Anna Greenleaf.¹ William Greenleaf Cranch died in February 1872 at the age of 76 unmarried.¹

     Clare Harris Crane married Harry Brewer Kendall.

     Margaret Crane was the daughter of Major Peter Crane.¹ Margaret Crane married Hon. Timothy Fuller, son of Rev. Timothy Fuller and Sarah B. Williams, on 28 May 1809 in Canton, Massachusetts.^1,2 Margaret Crane died on 31 July 1859.¹

     Margaret Crane married Rev. Nathaniel Rogers, son of John Rogers and Elizabeth Gold, on 23 January 1625 in Ipswich.² Margaret Crane died in 1675.²

     Anne Cranmer was the daughter of Thomas Cranmer and Anne Carpenter.^1,2 Anne Cranmer married Rev. John Seller on 10 April 1581 in St. Mildred's, Cantebury, (Waters notes that the date is 1581 in the parish register, but 1591 in the transcript).³ Anne Cranmer was buried on 5 January 1625/26 in Canterbury Cathedral.⁴

      Archdeacon of Canterbury and younger brother of Archbishop Thomas Cranmer.³ Edmund Cranmer was born say 1491.⁴ He was the son of Thomas Cranmer and Agnes Hatfield.² Edmund Cranmer married Alice Sandes before 1534.⁴ Edmund Cranmer died before 20 April 1571.¹

      Archbishop of Canterbury. Thomas Cranmer was born on 2 July 1489 in Aslockton, Nottinghamshire.¹ He was the son of Thomas Cranmer and Agnes Hatfield.¹ Thomas Cranmer was executed on 21 March 1556 in Oxford at the age of 66.¹

     John Craw. Grocer and Wine merchant. He was born circa 1815.¹ He was the son of John Craw and Margaret Purves.² John Craw married as his second wife Ann Scott Bell, daughter of George Bell and Ann Scott, on 28 October 1863 in Jedburgh, Roxburgshire.¹ In 1880 John Craw was living in 48 Castle Gate, Jedburgh.³ He died on 19 January 1897 in Edinburgh of senile decay

The remains of Mr John Craw, who died in Edinburgh last week, were interred in Castlewood Cemetery, Jedburgh, on Saturday. Deceased. who was a native of Langton, Berwickshire, and was bred to the grocery and spirit trade, came to Jedburgh in 1846, where he carried on a successful business for a period of thirty years. During his residence in Jedburgh he took a fair share in public business. He was for a number of years a member of the Town Council, and for some time held the office of bailie. He was chairman of the Union Board, and a member of both the Burgh and Landward School Boards. He was thrice married, and through his second wife got the life-rent of Lanton Tower, in virtue of which he became a Commissioner of Supply of Roxburghshire. His only son, Dr John Craw, joined the navy, and died at Malta. Mr Craw was a kindly-hearted, genial, and sociable gentleman. Glasgow Herald, 25 January 1897.^4,2

     Elizabeth Parnham Craycroft married Ignatius Digges, son of William Digges and Elinor Brooke Darnall.¹ Elizabeth Parnham Craycroft died before 1766.¹

     Helen Usher Crease married David Crombie Greig, son of Peter Greig and Elizabeth Campbell Crombie, on 5 September 1895 in Strand, London.^1,2 Helen Usher Crease died on 4 April 1951.¹
