     Mary Wailan Crombie was born on 17 July 1869 in Tivoli Place, South Yarra, Victoria.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of Edward Ellice Crombie and Jessie Watson.²

     Sgt. Mervyn Cobbe Crombie who was also known as "Peak" Crombie.¹ He was born on 26 May 1920.² He was the son of David William Alexander Crombie and Phoebe Janet Arbuthnot. Sgt. Mervyn Cobbe Crombie died on 12 June 1941 in Ismalia, Egypt, at the age of 21 killed in an aircraft accident whilst serving in the R.A.A.F.³ He was buried in 6. E. 2. Ismailia War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.

     Mildred Judith Cameron Crombie was born on 24 June 1909 in Brisbane. She was the daughter of Donald Charles Cameron Crombie and Mildred Ida Lloyd Hart. Mildred Judith Cameron Crombie died on 13 May 1936 in Brisbane at the age of 26.

     Peter Kirk Crombie was born on 26 January 1922 in Brisbane.¹ He was the son of James Crombie and Amy Gladys Kirk Flower. On 1942 he entered military service as a Sgt/Pilot R.A.A.F.² Peter Kirk Crombie died on 2 October 1942 at the age of 20 reported missing in Australian waters. He was on the last training flight of his course and is believed to have died in the Bass Strait. Died unmarried.^1,2

     Sarah Beatrice Cameron (Sal) Crombie was born on 5 March 1907 in Indooroopilly. She was the daughter of Donald Charles Cameron Crombie and Mildred Ida Lloyd Hart. Sarah Beatrice Cameron (Sal) Crombie married Sir Archibald A. Archer K.C., C.M.G., son of Robert Stubbs Archer and Alice Marie Marwedel, on 17 August 1930 in Greenhills Homestead.

     Wallace John Crombie was born on 21 May 1873 in Govan, Lanarkshire.¹ He was the son of William Reid Crombie and Isabella Macdonald.¹

     William Crombie was born on 30 March 1839 in Kilminning Farm, Crail, Fife.^1,2 He was the son of David Guillan Crombie and Janet Campbell (Jessie) Webster. William Crombie was christened on 13 May 1839 at Crail, Fife.¹ He emigrated in 1857 arriving in Victoria on the ship Turon on 7th January 1858. A family tale says that the first ship William attempted to sail on was wrecked upon leaving England and that he nearly drowned.³ He married Margaret Anne Cameron, daughter of Donald Charles Cameron and Margaret Anne Moore, on 22 July 1874 in the Presbyterian Church, Ipswich, Queensland.³ William Crombie died on 15 April 1898 in Greenhills at the age of 59 of dengue fever, and was buried in the graveyard there.^3,4

     William Crombie is also recorded as William Crammy.¹ He was born on 1 September 1786 in Kettle, Fife.² He was the son of John Crombie and Elizabeth Guillan.¹ William Crombie was baptised on 3 September 1786 at Kettle, Fife.¹ Possibly the William Crombie who appeared in the 1861 census at Viewforth Cottage, Pittenweem, Fife, and whose occupation is given as a retired farmer.³

     William Claude David Crombie always called Claude Crombie. He was born on 8 January 1881 in Simla, India.² He was the son of Lt. Colonel Alexander Crombie CB, MD and Zébée Minto Bell.¹ William Claude David Crombie married firstly Edith Mary Lawrence in 1908. On his Officer's Declaration for the Canadian Expeditionary Force, dated 22 October 1917, Capt. Crombie gives his address as Winnipeg, Manitoba and his wife's as being in Vancouver, British Columbia. He appears to have about four and a half years of military service, the first three years with the 27th Light Horse. He gives his trade or calling as "farmer." William Claude David Crombie married secondly Florence Wilson. William Claude David Crombie died on 26 August 1956 in North Vancouver at the age of 75.³

     William David Crombie was born on 4 July 1882 in Queensland.¹ He was the son of William Crombie and Margaret Anne Cameron.¹ William David Crombie married Janet Wilmina (Mina) Macdonald, daughter of Alex R. Macdonald, on 4 June 1913 in St. Andrew's Church, Brisbane, they established a farmstead at the remote Maranthona, near Longreach (precisely on the tropic of Capricorn, in Queensland).² William David Crombie died on 24 February 1949 in Queensland at the age of 66.¹

     William Reid Crombie was born on 11 April 1829 in St. Andrews, Fife.¹ He was the son of John Crombie and Euphemia Wallace.¹ William Reid Crombie was christened on 26 April 1829 at St. Andrews, Fife.¹ He married firstly Isabella Macdonald before 1861.² William Reid Crombie married secondly Rachel Notman Keddie, daughter of William Keddie and Janet Coulter Graham, on 15 June 1881 in Glasgow according to the forms of the Free Church of Scotland.³ William Reid Crombie died on 8 May 1886 in Bath at the age of 57 where his executrix dative qua relict is called Rachel Notman Keddie or Crombie of the same address as the deceased.⁴

     Zébée Maud Jessie Crombie was born on 24 June 1876 in Rangoon, West Bengal, India.^1,2 She was the daughter of Lt. Colonel Alexander Crombie CB, MD and Zébée Minto Bell. Zébée Maud Jessie Crombie was christened on 31 July 1876 at Rangoon, West Bengal.¹ She married Colonel Evelyn Pierce Sewell C.M.G., D.S.O., M.B., BCh., F.R.C.S., son of Rev. Henry Doyle Sewell M.A. and Edith Pierce Morgan, on 27 November 1903 in the Cathedral, Bombay, India.³ Zébée Maud Jessie Crombie died on 18 March 1960 in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, at the age of 83.

     Charles Crooker was born on 20 September 1797 in Bath, Maine.³ He was the son of Jonathan Harding Crooker and Hannah Duncan.² Engaged in building vessels with James Church, under the firm name of Church & Crooker, and afterward built with his brother, William D., under the firm name of C. & W. D. Crooker, until 1853, when he retired from the activities of business.
He was a Republican and a staunch supporter of his party.³ Charles Crooker married secondly Rachel Sewall, daughter of James Sewall and Nancy Marsh, on 7 October 1828 in Bath, Maine.⁴ Charles Crooker died on 14 February 1877 at the age of 79.³

     Charles H. Crooker was the son of Charles Crooker and Rachel Sewall.¹ Charles H. Crooker died in infancy.¹

     Emma Duncan Crooker. Photographer. She was born on 17 September 1836 in Bath, Maine.^4,5 She was the daughter of Charles Crooker and Rachel Sewall.³ Emma Duncan Crooker married Hon. Arthur Sewall, son of William Dunning Sewall and Rachel Allen Trufant, on 29 March 1859 in Bath, Sagadahoc, Maine.⁵ Emma Duncan Crooker died on 29 September 1919 at the age of 83 ⁶ and is buried in Sewall Family Cemetery, Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine,, "Mrs. Emma D. Sewall, widow of Hon. Arthur Sewall, died Monday morning at her summer home at Small Point where her husband died Sept. 5, 1900. She was stricken Sunday and never regained consciousness. Mrs. Sewall was born in Bath, a daughter of Charles Crooker, Esq., one of the early Bath shipbuilders and was married to Mr. Sewall in 1859. She leaves two sons, Hon. Harold M. Sewall and William D. Sewall, both of Bath."

As her great-great-grand-daughter Abbie Sewall noted in a July 1988 article on her grandmother in Down East Magazine there is no indication of her success as a photographer. She took up the art as an adult of forty-eight and did very well with it. She exhibited her work in Paris and was the first women to be invited to join the Boston Camera Club, but virtually stopped photographing with her husband's death. She resigned from the Club and lead a largely reclusive life until her death nineteen years later.⁷ Message Through Time: The Photographs of Emma D.      Jonathan Harding Crooker was born in 1768.² He was the son of Isaiah Crooker and Hannah Harding.¹ Jonathan Harding Crooker married Hannah Duncan, daughter of Dr. Samuel Duncan and Hannah Donnell, in 1790.² Jonathan Harding Crooker died in 1805.²

     Julietta Marsh Crooker was born on 11 March 1839.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Crooker and Rachel Sewall.¹ Julietta Marsh Crooker married Capt. Frederic Stead Bosworth, son of Capt. Robert Bosworth and Mary A. McDonald, in 1860.² Julietta Marsh Crooker died in 1891.¹

     Lucy Holmes Crooker was the daughter of Charles Crooker and Rachel Sewall.¹ Lucy Holmes Crooker died in infancy.¹

     Anna Crosby was born on 21 May 1768 in Woolwich.¹ She was the daughter of Simon Crosby and Sarah Sewall.¹ Anna Crosby married, as his second wife George Halliburton on 15 February 1816.¹ Anna Crosby died before 1838.¹

     Dr. Anthony Crosby married Prudence Wade, daughter of Jonathan Wade.² Dr. Anthony Crosby was living in Rowley, Massachusetts.³ He died before 1673.
