     Helen Sydney Ditmare was born on 2 April 1881 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.² She married Dr. Millard Freeman Sewall, son of Noah Millard Sewall and Emma E.F. Guptill, in June 1906.¹ Helen Sydney Ditmare and Dr. Millard Freeman Sewall appear on the census of 1930 at Commercial, Cumberland County, New Jersey.³

     Fanny Bowditch Dixwell was the daughter of Epes S. Dixwell.² Fanny Bowditch Dixwell married Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., son of Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes and Amelia Lee Jackson, on 17 June 1872.¹ Fanny Bowditch Dixwell died on 30 April 1929.¹

     Daisy Doane was born circa 1860.¹ She married William I. Fraser, son of Alexander Fraser and Mary Mead Torrance, circa 1883.¹

     Edward Doane was born on 25 December 1770 in Cape Cod.¹ He married Sarah Brown on 17 January 1797 in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.¹ Edward Doane died on 14 July 1845 in Monterey, Orange County, New York, at the age of 74.¹

     Julia Ann Doane was born on 18 October 1808 in Dana, Massachusetts.³ She was the daughter of Edward Doane and Sarah Brown.² Julia Ann Doane married firstly Charles Coffin Sewall, son of Rev. Samuel M. Sewall and Mary Lambard, on 23 April 1829 in Petersham, Worcester County, Massachusetts.¹ Julia Ann Doane married secondly Robert Lang Fowler on 17 June 1839 in Galena, Illinois.⁴ Julia Ann Doane married Dr. John Kelly on 22 August 1866 in Winona or Galena, Minnesota.^4,3 Julia Ann Doane died on 29 December 1894 in the home of her daughter, Mary Barteau in Lake Charles, Louisiana, at the age of 86.³

     Colin Macpherson Dobell was born on 26 November 1896 in Beauvoir Manor, Quebec.^1,3 He was the son of William Molson Dobell and Constance May Sewell.² Colin Macpherson Dobell was baptised on 8 February 1897 at Sillery, Quebec.¹ He died on 30 May 1918 in Chaumuzy, France, at the age of 21 of his wounds. He was a First Lieutenant serving with the Royal Welch Fusiliers.⁴

     Francis Curzon Dobell. Advocate.¹ He was born on 2 August 1898 in Sillery, Quebec.³ He was the son of William Molson Dobell and Constance May Sewell.² Francis Curzon Dobell was baptised on 29 August 1898 at Sillery, Quebec.³ He married Sybil Octavia Robertson, daughter of James Morrison Robertson and Benedicta Trotter, on 20 January 1926 in Montreal.¹ Francis Curzon Dobell died on 8 February 1941 in Montreal at the age of 42.⁴

     Rt. Hon. Richard Reid Dobell was born on 27 January 1836 in Liverpool.² He was the son of George Dobell. Rt. Hon. Richard Reid Dobell married Elizabeth Frances Macpherson, daughter of Sir David L. Macpherson K.C.M.G. and Elizabeth Sarah Molson.³ Rt. Hon. Richard Reid Dobell died on 11 January 1902 in Folkestone, Kent, at the age of 65.⁴ He came to Canada in 1857, and engaged extensively in the timber trade, founding one of the largest exporting commercial houses in Quebec. Mr. Dobell has always taken great interest in the prosperity of his adopted country, and has held many prominent positions in the business life of Canada. He was an unsuccessful candidate for parliamentary honours in 1895, but in 1896 he was elected a member of the House of Commons for Quebec West, and on the formation of the Liberal administration he was sworn of the Privy Council and appointed a member of the Cabinet as minister without portfolio.

     Colonel Sidney Hope Dobell was also known as "Choppy" Dobell. He was born on 7 June 1900 in Sillery, Quebec.¹ He was the son of William Molson Dobell and Constance May Sewell.² Colonel Sidney Hope Dobell was baptised on 7 September 1900 at Sillery, Quebec.¹ He graduated in 1918 from Royal Military College, Canada, He was Commanding Officer of the 6th Field Regiment, RCA, in 1942. He became comptroller of McGill University in 1947. He died on 29 June 1992 in Montreal at the age of 92.³

     William Molson Dobell was born on 8 August 1867 in Quebec.^2,1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Richard Reid Dobell and Elizabeth Frances Macpherson.¹ William Molson Dobell married Constance May Sewell, daughter of Dr. Charles Colin Sewell and Helen Amelia Webster, on 7 December 1895 in Holy Trinity Church, Quebec.³ William Molson Dobell died on 24 June 1953 in his home, Cacouna, at the age of 85.¹ Mr. Dobell was educated at the Charterhouse School, Surrey, England. On the completion of his school studies, in 1886, he entered the employ of the firm of Dobell, Beckett & Company, a concern which was founded by his father in the year 1856 and carries on an extensive business in the exportation of timber and lumber to Great Britain and Europe. Always bringing to bear on the solution of difficult commercial and financial problems keen insight and ready discrimination, he was admitted a partner of the firm in 1895. On the death of his father in 1902, he took the leading part in the management of the firm, in which capacity he continued until 1907, when he retired from the business. Mr. Dobell stands for reform, advancement and improvement in all matters pertaining to the welfare of the city of Quebec and of the Province. He has always exhibited a keen interest in shipping matters, and for the last five years has been a member of the Quebec Harbor Commissioners, having been elected to represent those interests. He is also a School Commissioner and a member of the Council of the municipality of St. Colomba of Sillery, near Quebec, where he resides, both of which offices he has held for several years. He also served for several years as an officer in the Eighth Royal Rifles, of Quebec, and retired with the rank of Captain. In religious faith he is an Anglican.
Mr. Dobell is a member of numerous clubs, among which may be mentioned the following: Garrison Club, Quebec, Rideau Club, Ottawa, Montreal Hunt Club, Mount Royal and St. James Clubs, Montreal, and the Junior Athenaeum, London, England. He is also Vice-President of the Turf Club, Quebec. Mr. Dobell has travelled extensively, and has visited Europe, Australia, New Zealand, etc., in order to gain some knowledge of foreign parts of the world.²

     Elizabeth Mary Dobles was born in March 1852 in Southwark, London.^2,3 She married John Edmund Schneider, son of John William Schneider and Isabella Grieve, on 9 May 1868 in Vaudreuil Anglican Church.⁴

     Caroline M. Dodge married secondly Charles May, son of Colonel Joseph May and Dorothy Sewall, on 11 February 1845 in Lynn, Massachusetts.¹

     Hannah Dodge was the daughter of George Dodge.² Hannah Dodge married John Cabot.^1,2

     Lydia Dodge was born in 1750.² She married Andrew Cabot, son of Joseph Cabot and Anne Orne.¹ Lydia Dodge died in 1807.²

     Jean Dodge-Kerr was born circa 23 July 1922 in Nova Scotia.¹ She died on 19 July 2003 in Boothbay, Maine.¹

     Adam de Doditon married Avelina de Woodcote, daughter of Richard de Woodcote.¹ Adam de Doditon died before 1203.¹

     Hawise de Doditon was the daughter of Adam de Doditon and Avelina de Woodcote.¹ Hawise de Doditon married Adam de Chetwynd, son of Sir Adam de Chetwynd de Chetwynd.¹

     Apphia Dole married Peter Coffin.¹ Apphia Dole was born on 7 December 1668 in Newbury, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Dole and Hannah Rolfe.¹ Apphia Dole died on 14 April 1725 in Newbury, Massachusetts, at the age of 56.¹
