Virginia Sims Evans married Harold Ingalls Sewall, son of William Bull Sewall and Lena I. Ingalls, on 29 April 1903 in Trinity Cathedral, Tsukiji, Tokyo, they were married by Bishop McKim. The reception was held at the British Legation.1,3 Virginia Sims Evans and Harold Ingalls Sewall were divorced on 15 October 1913 at Ellsworth, Maine; Mrs. Sewall sustained charges of cruel and abusive treatment.1 In 1925 Mrs Evans-Sewall was living at 44 Lower Sloane Street, London, at the time of the announcement of her daughter's engagement.4 Virginia Sims Evans died on 2 August 1958 in Villa Chiara, Rapallo, Italy, at the age of 78.5
