     Albert Bartlett Allen was born on 6 March 1819.² He was the son of William Allen and Hannah Titcomb.¹

     Augusta P. Allen was born circa 1824 in Maine.³ She married William Sylvester Sewall, son of Deacon Oliver Sewall and Betsey Sylvester, on 14 January 1858.¹ Augusta P. Allen and William Sylvester Sewall appear on the census of 1860 at Farmington, Franklin County, Maine, with their chld, Cora and Abby A. Allen, a teacher, presumably sister of Augusta. William is listed as William D. Sewall a planing millman.³ Augusta P. Allen died on 24 August 1911.⁴ She was buried in Webster Cemetery, Farmington, Maine.⁴

     Catharine F. Allen was the daughter of Hon. Stephen Allen.¹ Catharine F. Allen married John Williams Quincy, son of John Williams Quincy and Abigail Atkins.¹

     Charles Frederic Allen was born on 28 January 1816 in Norridgewock, Maine.² He was the son of William Allen and Hannah Titcomb.¹ Charles Frederic Allen graduated in 1839 from Bowdoin College.^1,2 A descendant in the ninth generation of Samuel Allen, who in 1630 immigrated to Massachusetts, coming from Durham county, England. Charles Frederick was instructor at Kent's Hill seminary, 1839-'43; a minister in the Maine Methodist Episcopal conference, 1843-'72, during which time he served as secretary of the conference for seven years, and as delegate to the General conference of 1864, 1868 and 1880. He was the first president of the Maine state college of agricultural and mechanic arts, 1872-'79, and again in the Methodist ministry, 1879-'99, serving three years as presiding elder. He received the degree of D.D. from Bowdoin and from Wesleyan university in 1872. He was a member of the committee to revise the Hymnal of the Methodist Episcopal church.² He married Ruth S. Morse.¹ Charles Frederic Allen died on 9 February 1899 in Portland, Maine, at the age of 83.²

     Charles Morse Allen was the son of Charles Frederic Allen and Ruth S. Morse.¹ A teacher of natural sciences at Wyoming seminary, Pa., 1882-'89, and became a professor of chemistry in Pratt institute, Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1889.¹

     Elizabeth Allen was born on 25 September 1813 probably in Norridgewock, Maine.² She was the daughter of William Allen and Hannah Titcomb.¹

     James Allen married firstly Hannah Dummer, daughter of Richard Dummer and Frances (Unknown) (widow Burr), on 18 August 1663 said to have m. Boston 18 August 1663 as his first wife James Allen, but this marriage does not appear in the published vital records, and the numbers in this supposed date are a transposition of the stated marriage date of James Allen to Elizabeth (Houchin) Endicott, 31 August 1668. Torrey lists all three marriages.^2,3,1,4 James Allen married secondly Elizabeth Houchin on 31 August 1668 at Boston.¹ James Allen married thirdly Sarah Hawkins on 11 September 1673 at Boston.^1,4

     James Allen was born in 1674.¹ He was the son of James Allen.¹

     James Allen was born in 1636.¹ He was the son of Samuel Allen.¹

     Deacon James Allen was born on 6 February 1732.¹ He was the son of Sylvanus Allen and Jane Homes.^1,2 Deacon James Allen married Martha Athearn.

     Jane Allen was baptised on 13 January 1587/88 at Goldington, Bedfordshire.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Allen and Mary Fairclough.² Jane Allen married Rev. Peter Bulkeley, son of Rev. Edward Bulkeley D.D. and Olive Irby, on 12 April 1613 in Goldington, Bedfordshire, They had nine children but only six survived childhood.² Jane Allen died in 1626. She was buried on 8 December 1626 in Odell, Bedfordshire.¹

     Rev. John Allen married Catherine Deighton on 8 November 1653 in Dedham.²

     Mary Louise Allen was born circa 1882 in Pennsylvania.² She married Millard Freeman Sewall Jr., son of Dr. Millard Freeman Sewall and Helen Sydney Ditmare.^1,3

     Mary Masters Allen married Henry Walter Livingston, son of Walter Livingston and Cornelia Schuyler.¹

     Samuel Allen was the son of George Allen.¹

     Sarah Allen was born on 30 March 1639 in Braintree, Massachusetts.¹ She married Josiah Standish, son of Miles Standish and Barbara (Unknown), after 7 March 1655/56.¹ Sarah Allen died after 16 September 1690.¹

     Sarah Ann Allen was born in 1817.¹ She was the daughter of Capt. Truman Allen and Hannah Sewall.¹ Sarah Ann Allen died in 1851.¹

      Stephen Allen was living in Augusta.¹ He was born on 20 March 1810.² He was the son of William Allen and Hannah Titcomb.¹

     Thomas E. Allen married Mary J. Phillips Cooper, daughter of William Phillips Cooper and Elizabeth Ballard, on 28 March 1858.¹

     Capt. Truman Allen was born on 19 June 1783 in Chilmark, Massachusetts.^1,2 He was the son of William Allen and Love Coffin.¹ Capt. Truman Allen married Hannah Sewall, daughter of Henry Sewall and Sarah Henry, on 11 September 1816 in Bath, Sagadahoc, Maine.^3,4 Capt. Truman Allen died in 1818 at sea when captain of the brig Hiram.² He was buried in Shelburne, Nova Scotia.²

      Of Norridgewock.² William Allen was born on 16 April 1780 in Chilmark, Massachusetts.^2,3 He was the son of William Allen and Love Coffin.¹ William Allen married Hannah Titcomb, daughter of Stephen Titcomb and Elizabeth Henry, on 13 September 1807.^1,4 William Allen died on 1 July 1873 at the age of 93.³

      William Allen was a descendant of James Allen, who came from England, and had by special grant the manor of Tisbury, Cape Cod.¹ William Allen was born on 5 January 1756.² He was the son of Deacon James Allen and Martha Athearn.^2,3 William Allen married Love Coffin on 10 March 1779.³ William Allen died in 1842.³

     William Allen graduated from Bowdoin College and died three years later.¹ He was born on 2 September 1808.² He was the son of William Allen and Hannah Titcomb.¹

     William Albert Allen was the son of Charles Frederic Allen and Ruth S. Morse.¹ In 1874 he was a a civil engineer, Maine Central Railroad, and chief engineer 1878-96.¹ William Albert Allen graduated in 1874 from Maine State College.¹ He died on 21 March 1896 in Lewiston, Maine, by accident, whilst inspecting a bridge.¹
