COLONEL H. T. FATTHFULL
Colonel Henry Turner Faithfull, who died in his 77th year at Frimley yesterday, saw much service with the Indian Army, which he entered from the Royal Artillery in September, 1876. Joining what was then the Bengal Staff Corps and afterwards transferring to the Indian Staff Corps, he was for five years Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General in Bengal, and served through the Afghan War of 1878-80, taking part in the advance on the Helmund and the actions of Ahmed Khel and Urzu. Since his return to England Colonel Faithfull had taken a great interest in municipal work and was for some years vice-chairman of the Urban District Council at Camberley and a Justice of the Peace for Surrey. His second son is Lieutenant C.K.T. Faithfull, of The Duke of Wellington's (West Riding) Regiment, the International and Army Rugby football player and Army boxer.3
