Samuel Willard.1 Abigail Melyen married thirdly Chief Justice Samuel E. Sewall, son of Rev. Henry Sewall and Jane Dummer, on 29 October 1719 at Boston, Massachusetts, at which ceremony his son Joseph officiated.4 Abigail Melyen died on 26 May 1720 suddenly.1

     Lawrence William Mercer married Mary Catherine Powell, daughter of Dr. Grant Powell J.P. and Elizabeth Staats Bleecker.1 Lawrence William Mercer was born circa 1822 in Scotland.2,3 He married Anne Kingsmill on 16 September 1845 in St. Mark's Church, Niagra, Ontario.4 In 1851 he was a deputy sheriff at Niagra, Ontario.3 Lawrence William Mercer died on 4 November 1860 in Quebec "aged 38." In the same record of his death he is described as "of Gaspi [Gaspe] Basin."2 He was buried on 6 November 1860 in Quebec.2
