     Mary Rayner ? married Rev. Michael Wigglesworth, son of Edward Wigglesworth, on 18 May 1655 in Rowley, Massachusetts.¹ Mary Rayner ? died in 1657.²

     Herbert Raynes. Marine insurance broker.² He was born circa 1862 in Australia.² He married Florence Sewell, daughter of Arthur Livingston Sewell and Florence Lena Wallack.³ Herbert Raynes and Florence Sewell are listed on the census of 1920 at Richmond, New York, they appear to have no children as none are mentioned in the 1910 Census.²

     Thomas Raysor was born in 1895.¹ He married Ellen Devereux Koopman, daughter of August Koopman and Louisa Lovett Osgood, in 1925.¹

     Colonel Edmund Read. Of Wickford, Essex; a colonel in the parliamentary army.¹

     Elizabeth Read was born in England.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Edmund Read.¹ Elizabeth Read married Governor John Winthrop of Connecticut, son of Governor John Winthrop and Mary Forth, on 12 February 1635 in England.^1,2 Elizabeth Read died on 24 November 1672 in Hartford, Connecticut.¹

     Olive Read married Samuel Greele.¹

     Sarah Read married Philip Cook, son of Phillip Cook and Mary Lamson, on 18 March 1686 or 1698.¹

     Ann Livingston Reade was the daughter of John Reade and Catherine Livingston.¹

     Catharine Livingston Reade was born in 1775.² She married Nicholas William Stuyvesant, son of Petrus Stuyvesant and Margaret Livingston.¹ Catharine Livingston Reade died in 1863.²

     Helen Sarah Reade married John William Hamersley.¹ Helen Sarah Reade was born in 1792.¹ She was the daughter of John Reade and Catherine Livingston.¹ Helen Sarah Reade died in 1879.¹

     John Reade married Catherine Livingston, daughter of Robert Gilbert Livingston and Catherine McPhaedres.¹

     Samuel Reed was born circa 1756.¹ He married Mary Brown on 14 November 1828 in Woolwich, Maine.¹ Samuel Reed died on 10 February 1833.¹

     Thelma W. Reed was born on 23 March 1899 in Louisiana.¹ She married Howard Sewall Bryant, son of Powhatan Ambrose Bryant and Sarah Stewart Sewall, in 1920.² Thelma W. Reed died in November 1986 probably in Pensacola, Florida, at the age of 87.³

     William Harley Reed died before 1948.¹

     Dr. Daniel Rees M.A., Ph.D. was born in 1866 in Llanfihangel, Carmarthen.¹ He was the son of John Rees and Ann (Unknown). Between 1896 and 1932 at Cardigan he was headmaster of the County Intermediate School. Dr. Daniel Rees M.A., Ph.D. married Elizabeth Mary Davies, daughter of Rev. John Davies and Mary Jones, on 29 December 1898 in Atcham, Shropshire.² Dr. Daniel Rees M.A., Ph.D. appears on the census of 1 March 1901 at 3 Belmont, Cardigan. He retired in 1932; and they moved to Hastings from Cardigan. He died suddenly on 26 February 1938 at near Lyons, France, The funeral service took place at All Saints' Church, Hastings, 5 March 1938.³

     David Rees was born in 1880 in Llandyssil, Cardiganshire.¹ He was the son of John Rees and Ann (Unknown). David Rees appears on the census of 1901 at Union Inn, Llandyssil, Cardiganshire, listed as a mason.¹

     Frances Rees was born circa 1878 in Llandyssil, Cardigan.¹ She was the daughter of John Rees and Ann (Unknown). Frances Rees appears on the census of 1901 at Union Inn, Llandyssil, Cardiganshire, recorded as unmarried.¹ She married (unknown) Gower after 1901.

     Jane Rees was born on 27 August 1832.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Rees and Ann James.¹ Jane Rees was christened on 24 September 1832 at Llanfihangelgenaur-Glyn Bethel Independent, Tal-Y-Bont, Cardigan.¹

     John Rees was born on 10 October 1833 in Llanfihangel Ar Arth, Carmarthen, (Llangeler in the 1881 Census).¹ He was the son of Hugh Rees and Ann James. John Rees was christened on 5 November 1833 at Llanfihangelgenaur-Glyn Bethel Independent, Tal-Y-Bont, Cardigan. He married Ann (Unknown) circa 1863. John Rees appeared in the 1881 census at Cilgwynbach, Llangeler, Carmarthen. Where he was described as being a farmer of 28 acres.² He appears on the census of 1901 at Union Inn, Llandyssil, Cardiganshire, listed as Inn Keeper.¹

     Mary Ann Rees was born circa 1868 in Llandyssil, Cardigan.¹ She was the daughter of John Rees and Ann (Unknown). Mary Ann Rees appears on the census of 1901 at Union Inn, Llandyssil, Cardiganshire, listed as Barmaid.¹

     Mary Ann Rees was born in 1847.¹ She married Shuldham Samuel Crawford Hill.¹ Mary Ann Rees died in 1952.¹

     Sir Philip ap Rees was the son of Res ap Howel.² Sir Philip ap Rees married Joan (Unknown).¹ Sir Philip ap Rees died on 4 August 1369 per IPM at Hereford taken on 9 September 1369.¹

     Richards Rees was born on 8 April 1836.¹ He was the son of Hugh Rees and Ann James.¹ Richards Rees was christened on 25 April 1836 at Llanfihangelgenaur-Glyn Bethel Independent, Tal-Y-Bont, Cardigan.¹

     Brigadier Vivian Wellesley Rees OBE was born on 23 November 1899 in St. Chad's, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, where his grandparents lived. He was the son of Dr. Daniel Rees M.A., Ph.D. and Elizabeth Mary Davies. Brigadier Vivian Wellesley Rees OBE was educated between 1913 and 1918 at Rugby School in H.C. Bradby's House, "Schoolfield". Got into the Classical VI. Won his school rugby cap in 1917. He entered military service in 1918 as a Prize Cadet at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant 14th August 1919 and Gazetted as such to 1st Bn. King's Shropshire Light Infantry. He joined the Regiment in Oswestry where they were reforming after the war. Served with them in Aden 1919-20; Bombay 1920-22, promoted 1st Lieutenant 1921; Poona 1922-26 where he was Signals Officer; 1926-29 Dinapore and marched with the Regiment to Razmak from whence he was posted to be Adjutant of the Depot KSLI, Shrewsbury. In November 1932 he joined 2nd Battalion in Colchester. In January of the following year attended a machine gun course at Netheravon.

In May or June 1933 he transferred to the Royal Army Pay Corps. In November 1935 he volunteered for the Abyssinian campaign, but got no further than Cairo. On 1st January 1936 to Jerusalem for the Arab/Jewish troubles. In the Spring of 1937 he was posted to Eastern Command at Hounslow. In January 1938 he went on a costing course at Aldershot where he gained a distinction in the London Chamber of Commerce Costing (Higher). In June or July of that year he went to the Regimental Pay Office in Preston, Lancashire until the outbreak of the war. He served with the South East Asia XIV Army and was for a time (1946) Force Paymaster, Lt. Colonel, A.F.N.E.I. (Netherlands East Indies). Subsequently he commanded the training depot at Devizes. In 1949 he was posted as Command Paymaster Middle East Land Forces to Ismalia, Egypt. Then in about 1954, as Command Paymaster, Brigadier General, Northern Command, York.

He married Zébée Edith Sewell, daughter of Colonel Evelyn Pierce Sewell C.M.G., D.S.O., M.B., BCh., F.R.C.S. and Zébée Maud Jessie Crombie, on 17 May 1930 in The Cathedral Church, Portsmouth, Hampshire.¹ Brigadier Vivian Wellesley Rees OBE retired from military service in November 1959. In retirement he gardened. He became Treasurer of the Brabourne and Smeeth Conservative Association. In December 1963 moved to Kennington and in the Spring of 1964 he was elected to Ashford Urban Council and in the Spring of 1966 he became Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee; he was also a Committee Member of Planning & Development, the Library, local Joint Whitley Council, National Savings Movement and was manager of the local Primary Schools. He died on 27 April 1968 in Tall Trees, Kennington, Ashford, Kent, at the age of 68 of a heart attack. On 2 May 1968 after the funeral service at Ashford Parish church his body was cremated at Charing. Later his ashes were privately interred in the churchyard to the left of the main door at Smeeth Parish Church where he had sometimes worshipped.
