     Col. Benjamin Rozer was appointed on 25 April 1667, high sheriff of Charles County.¹ He married Anne Sewall, daughter of Colonel Henry Sewall and Jane Lowe, in 1681.^2,3 Col. Benjamin Rozer died before 1686.

      Notley Rozer was the godson of Thomas Notley the Deputy Governor of Maryland (1676-79) and the chief benefactor in his will. He inherited Cerne Abbey Manor part of which which today is Capitol Hill.¹ He was born in 1673.² He was the son of Col. Benjamin Rozer and Anne Sewall. Notley Rozer married Jane Digges, daughter of Colonel William D. Digges and Elizabeth Sewall.^3,2 Notley Rozer died in 1727.²

     Ruth Rozer was the daughter of Col. Benjamin Rozer and Anne Sewall.

     Catherine Roët, was born circa 1350. She was the daughter of Sir Payn Roët, Guinne King at Arms. Catherine Roët, married firstly Sir Hugh Swynford before 1367 at St. Clement Danes, Strand, London.¹ Catherine Roët, married John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, son of King Edward III, and Philippa of Hainault, The issue of this marriage, all surnamed Beaufort after their father's French lordship, were all born before their parents were united in wedlock; they were legitimated by the Pope on 1 September, 1396, and also by Charter of Richard II on 9 February, 1397, but this same Charter also excluded them from the succession.¹ Catherine Roët, died on 10 May 1403.

     Phillipa Roët was the daughter of Sir Payn Roët, Guinne King at Arms. Phillipa Roët married Geoffrey Chaucer in 1364. Phillipa Roët died in 1387.

     Hannah Ruck married Benjamin Gerrish, son of Capt. William Gerrish and Joanna Lowell, on 24 October 1676.¹ Hannah Ruck died in 1685 or earlier.

     Agnes Elizabeth Rudd was born circa 1789 in Edinburgh.² She married Rev. Francis Lundy M.A. on 27 May 1813 in Full Sutton, Yorkshire.³ Agnes Elizabeth Rudd died on 8 April 1861 in Burnby Rectory, Yorkshire.

     Ruth Ruddock was the daughter of John Ruddock.¹ Ruth Ruddock married Dr. Elisha Story.¹ Ruth Ruddock died in 1777 leaving seven children.¹

     Elizabeth Ruggles married firstly Samuel Shubel Dummer, son of Jeremiah Dummer and Ann Atwater.¹ Elizabeth Ruggles married secondly Daniel Rogers after 1737.¹

     Eloise Rumney married James H. Searles.¹

     Silence Rumrill married Eliphalet King on 2 October 1788 in Suffield, Connecticut.²

     Catherine Russell married William Rosewell.¹

     General Sir Edward Lechmere Graves Russell K.C.S.I. was baptised on 5 January 1817 at Clifton, Gloucester.⁴ He was the son of Major General Lechmere Coore Graves Russell C.B.³ He lived in Ashford Hall, Ludlow, Shropshire.⁵ General Sir Edward Lechmere Graves Russell K.C.S.I. married Alice Sewell, daughter of Sheriff William Smith Sewell and Mary Isabella Smith, on 24 February 1876 in St. Judes, Southsea, Hampshire.⁵ General Sir Edward Lechmere Graves Russell K.C.S.I. and Alice Sewell appear on the census of 4 April 1881 at 26 Queens Square, Walcot (Bath), Somerset, with the two stepchildren from her former marriage, the two daughters from the present marriage and six domestic servants. General Sir Edward Lechmere Graves Russell K.C.S.I. died on 29 January 1904 in Bath, Somerset, at the age of 87.⁶
He entered the Indian Army in 1837, and whilst a subaltern served with the field force in Sind and Afghanistan in 1842-43, and was present in all the operations, including the expedition to and the destruction of Imaumghur, and as adjutant of the Sind Irregular Horse in the battles of Meeanee and Haidarabad and the surrender of Omerkote. He served also in the Abyssinia campaign was resident and commandant at Aden from 1868 to 1871, and commanded the northern division of the Bombay army from 1872 to 1876. He received the K.C.S.I. In 1868. The dates of Sir Edward Russell's commissions were as follows: Lieutenant, 1842; Captain and Major 1849; Lieutenant-Colonel, 1854; Colonel 1860; Major-General, 1868; Lieutenant General, 1876; and General, 1877.⁷

     Sir George Russell Bt. married Constance Charlotte Elisa Lennox, daughter of Lord Arthur Lennox and Adelaide Constance Campbell.¹

     Gwendoline Russell's birth was registered in the quarter ending March 1877 in the Kensington, London registration district.² She was the daughter of General Sir Edward Lechmere Graves Russell K.C.S.I. and Alice Sewell.¹ The marriage of Gwendoline Russell and Major William Henry Hardyman was registered in the quarter ending June 1900 in the Bath, Somerset registration district.² Gwendoline Russell married Rev. John Jeffrey Johnstone Ph.D. after 15 December 1915. Gwendoline's death was registered in the quarter ending September 1968 in the Bath, Somerset registration district.³

     Hon. James Russell married Katherine Graves, daughter of Thomas Graves and Sybil Avery.²

     John Russell 6th Duke of Bedford was born on 6 July 1766. He married Georgina Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon 4th Duke of Gordon, 7th Marquess, 1st Earl of Norwich and Jane Maxwell, on 23 June 1803 in Whitehall. John Russell 6th Duke of Bedford died on 20 October 1839 at the age of 73.

     Mary Ann Russell was born on 11 October 1813 in Weld, Maine.¹ She married James Brown, son of Rev. Ebenezer Brown, on 18 February 1835 in Weld.¹ Mary Ann Russell died in April 1903 in Island Falls at the age of 89.¹

     Rebecca Russell was the daughter of Hon. James Russell and Katherine Graves.¹ Rebecca Russell married secondly Hon. John Lowell LL.D., son of Rev. John Lowell and Sarah Champney, on 27 January 1778 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.^1,2

     Her birth was registered in the quarter ending March 1878 in the Bath, Somerset registration district; as an un-named female. Winifred Penelope Russell was the daughter of General Sir Edward Lechmere Graves Russell K.C.S.I. and Alice Sewell.¹ Winifred Penelope Russell made a will on 9 August 1957. She died on or before on 12 December 1957, she was then of 15 Lansdown Place East, Bath, Somerset, at the age of 79.²

     Cornelia Rutgers married Jacob Le Roy.

     Anne Rutherford was the daughter of Dr. John Rutherford and Jean Swinton.¹ Anne Rutherford married Walter Scott, son of Robert Scott of Sandyknowe and Barbara Haliburton, in April 1758.¹

     Dr. John Rutherford married Jean Swinton.¹

     Rebecca Ryan was born in 1775 in Tipperary, Ireland.¹ She married James Carroll, son of Hugh Emaniel Carroll and Maria M. Carroll, in 1794 in Tipperary.¹ Rebecca Ryan died in 1830 in Pennsylvania.¹

     Jean Marie Sabalos married Como Careaud.¹

     Ida von Sachsen married Albert III Comte de Namur, son of Albert II Comte de Namur and Regilindis of Lower Lotharingia.¹
