     William Windham Sadler. An assurance inspector. He was baptised on 11 May 1866 at St. Andrew, Maghull, Lancashire. He was the son of John Muncaster Sadler and Mary Humphreys.² William Windham Sadler married Merelina Frederica Ann Ledsam, daughter of William Ledsam and Merelina Victoria Gordon, on 29 March 1897 in St. Mary's, Bryanston Square, London, the service was conducted by the Rev. Alfred Ledsam (cousin of the bride).² William Windham Sadler died on 5 February 1909 in 4 Homely Bank, Kinnoull, Perth, Scotland, at the age of 42 of a syncope.²

     John Saffin was born in 1634?² He married Martha Willett, daughter of Captain Thomas Willett and Mary Brown, on 2 December 1658 in Plymouth.¹ John Saffin died in 1710.²

     Emma Sagar was born circa 1867.¹ She was the daughter of George Sagar and Harriett Hewett.¹ Emma Sagar married Frederick William Pense, son of John Pense and Maria Panton, on 24 August 1909 in Lincoln, Ontario.¹

     George Sagar married Harriett Hewett.¹

     Katherine de Saint Clair was the daughter of Sir John Sinclair and Elizabeth Polwarth.¹ Katherine de Saint Clair married Sir John de Seton Lord of Seton. Katherine de Saint Clair died after 1450.¹

     Abby Salisbury was born on 14 May 1785.¹ She was the daughter of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall.¹ Abby Salisbury married Aaron P. Cleveland.¹

     Ann Gardner Salisbury was born on 16 December 1809 in Boston.² She was the daughter of Samuel Salisbury and Nancy Gardner.¹

     Daniel Waldo Salisbury was born on 12 September 1818 in Boston.¹ He was the son of Samuel Salisbury and Nancy Gardner.²

     Edward Elbridge Salisbury was born on 6 April 1814 in Boston, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Josiah Salisbury and Abby Breese.¹ A descendant of John Salisbury of Boston, Mass., about 1689 and his second wife, Bridget Williams; also of Sidney Breese, who was in New York as early as 1733-34, and his wife, Elizabeth Penkethman.
He graduated from Yale, A.B., 1832, A.M., 1835; attended Yale Divinity School, 1832-35, and studied Oriental languages under Silvestre de Sacy, Garcin de Tassy and Franz Bopp, 1836-39.¹ Edward Elbridge Salisbury married Abigail Salisbury Phillips, daughter of Edward Phillips and Mary Salisbury, on 27 April 1836 (they were cousins).¹ Edward Elbridge Salisbury married Evelyn MacCurdy, daughter of Judge Charles Johnson McCurdy and Sarah Anne Lord, on 23 November 1871 or 1872.^1,2 He was professor of Arabic and Sanskrit languages and literature at Yale, 1841-54, which chair had been created for him, and in 1854 he divided the chair with William Dwight Whitney, retaining the professorship of Arabic language and literature. He was corresponding secretary of the American Oriental Society and its president in 1863; was elected a member of the Asiatic Society of Paris in 1838; corresponding member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences and Belles Lettres at Constantinople in 1855, and of the German Oriental Society in 1859. The honorary degree of LL.D. was conferred on him by Yale in 1869, and by Harvard in 1886. He presented Yale with his unequalled Sanskrit library in 1870. He conducted the Journal of the American Oriental Society for several years, and contributed many articles. He is the author of: Account of the Diodati Family (printed privately, 1875); Principles of Domestic Taste, a lecture delivered before the Yale School of the Fine Arts (1877); Family Memorials (1885); and Family Histories and Genealogies (1892), the latter in collaboration with his wife, Evelyn MacCurdy Salisbury.¹ Edward Elbridge Salisbury died on 5 February 1901 in New Haven, Connecticut, at the age of 86.¹

     Elizabeth Salisbury was born on 15 August 1772 in Boston.¹ She was the daughter of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall. Elizabeth Salisbury married John Leverett, son of Col. John Leverett and Mary Greenleaf, in 1803.² Elizabeth Salisbury died in 1848.³

     Elizabeth Martha Salisbury was born on 30 November 1812.¹ She was the daughter of Josiah Salisbury and Abby Breese.¹ Elizabeth Martha Salisbury married Theodore Dwight Woolsey on 3 September 1833.¹ Elizabeth Martha Salisbury died on 3 November 1852 at the age of 39 suddenly.¹

     Elizabeth Sewall Salisbury was born on 5 July 1807.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Salisbury and Nancy Gardner.¹ Elizabeth Sewall Salisbury married Nathaniel Chauncy on 8 June 1836 in Brattle Square, Boston, Massachusetts.

     Ella of Salisbury was born circa 1186 in Amesbury, Wiltshire.¹ She married William Longespee, Earl of Salisbury, son of King Henry II, called Curtmantle, King of England and Ida Toeni, in 1198.¹ Ella of Salisbury died on 24 August 1261 in Lacock Abbey.

     Francis G. Salisbury was the son of Samuel Salisbury and Nancy Gardner.¹ Francis G. Salisbury died young.¹

     Joseph Sewall Salisbury was born on 1 November 1779.² He was the son of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall.¹ Joseph Sewall Salisbury died on 9 December 1779.²

     Josiah Salisbury was born on 15 February 1781 in Boston.^2,3 He was the son of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall.¹ Josiah Salisbury graduated in 1798 from Harvard.³ He married Abby Breese, daughter of Judge Samuel Breese and Elizabeth Anderson.¹ Josiah Salisbury died in 1826.²

     Martha Salisbury was born on 14 March 1771 in Boston, Massachusetts.^2,3 She was the daughter of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall.² Martha Salisbury married Stephen Higginson Jr., son of Hon. Stephen Higginson and Susanna Cleveland, on 7 August 1794 in Boston, Massachusetts.^2,3 Martha Salisbury died on 29 September 1803 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 32.³

     Martha Salisbury married Nicholas Salisbury, son of Nicholas Salisbury.¹

     Martha Salisbury was the daughter of Nicholas Salisbury and Martha Saunders.¹ Martha Salisbury married Norton Quincy, son of Hon. John Quincy and Elizabeth Norton, on 12 February 1746 in Boston, Massachusetts, the service was conducted by the Rev. Joseph Sewall D.D.¹

     Nicholas Salisbury was born in 1697. He married Martha Saunders on 1 October 1724 in Old South Church, Boston, Massachusetts.¹ Nicholas Salisbury died on 11 December 1748.

     Rebecca Salisbury was born on 6 October 1816 in Boston.² She was the daughter of Samuel Salisbury and Nancy Gardner.¹

     Rebecca Waldo Salisbury was born on 15 August 1776.² She was the daughter of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall.² Rebecca Waldo Salisbury married Jonathan Phillips on 30 September 1805.¹ Rebecca Waldo Salisbury died on 13 March 1828 at the age of 51.¹

     Samuel Salisbury. Merchant.¹ He was born on 10 August 1769 in Boston, Massachusetts, Collections of the Massachusetts Historical Society, 5th series, gives 13 August.^1,3 He was the son of Deacon Samuel S. Salisbury and Elizabeth Sewall.^1,2 Samuel Salisbury married firstly Elizabeth Green on 1 April 1802 (date of the marriage intention).¹ Samuel Salisbury married secondly Nancy Gardner on 18 July 1806 at Leominster, Massachusetts.⁴ Samuel Salisbury died on 24 January 1849 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 79 and is buried in King's Chapel.^1,5
