Eugene Dana Sewall was born on 27 December 1831 in Chesterville, Franklin County, Maine.1,2 He was the son of Otis Crosby Sewall and Abigail Morgridge.1 Schooled at Chesterville, Maine where he lived until 1880 he then moved to Livermore, Maine. He was independent in politics. A successful builder and lumber dealer; was of a sturdy and worthy character. He and his wife attended the Universalist Church. In the 1880 Census he describes himself as a carpenter and door sash manufacturer.1,3 Eugene Dana Sewall married firstly Augusta Elizabeth Hutchins in 1857.3,4 Eugene Dana Sewall married Fannie Dinsmore Weston, daughter of Enoch Weston and Eliza Hayes, on 6 January 1886.1 Eugene Dana Sewall died on 3 December 1906 at the age of 74.1

Mrs Snow a writer and lecturer and is a graduate of Vassar College and a former president of Worcester Vassar College Club and of Massachusetts and Worcester branches of the National League of American Pen Women. Princeton University published her translations from German into English poetry of the poems of Franz Werfel.

He is an organizer and director of Wilson Lake Country Club Wilton, treasurer of the First Universalist Church and of Livermore Public Library, a member of the finance committee of Central Maine Girl Scout Council and a past president of Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce. Prominent In Masonic circles he is treasurer of Oriental Star Lodge, treasurer of Androscoggin Royal Arch Chapter 34 of Maine. Sir Knight in Pilgrim Commandery Noble of Kora Order of the Mystic Shrine, a member of the Fish and Game Protective Association Livermore, and representative of the Second Congressional District of the Republican Committee of Maine.5
He died in February 1986 in Livermore Falls, Androscoggin, Maine, at the age of 94.6

Hill and her bother-in-law Stephen Sewall.2 She died on 8 April 1854 in Kennebunk at the age of 53 of consumption2 and is buried in the Unitarian Churchyard Cemetery, Kennebunk, Maine.3
