     Katy L. Sewall was born on 24 June 1864 in Waltham, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of John Lentner Sewall and Louisa Jane Bowman.¹

     Kenneth Norman Sewall was born on 16 June 1933.² He was the son of Norman Kinsley Sewall and Addie Belle Couch.¹ Kenneth Norman Sewall died on 4 February 2004 in Montclair at the age of 70.³ He was buried in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, New Jersey,,
SEWALL - Kenneth N., on Feb. 4, 2004, in Montclair. He was 70 years old. Born in West Orange and lifetime resident of Bloomfield, N.J. He graduated from Bryan College in Tennessee and he also graduated from RCA Institutes in New York City. He worked for Bell Labs and Western Electric. He was a charter member of the Telephone Pioneers Bell Core and a member of the society of Technical Communications. He was involved for 40 years with the Northern New Jersey Sunday School Association. He was also active in the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield. He was predeceased by his mother, AddieBelle, and brother, Donald. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sewall, father, Norman Sewall, son, Daniel Sewall, and brother, Edgar Sewall.³

     Kiah Bayley Sewall. Lawyer; Republican.² He was born on 2 December 1807 in Edgecomb, Maine.^1,3 He was the son of Rev. Samuel Sewall and Abigail Trask.¹ Kiah Bayley Sewall graduated in 1829 from Bowdoin College.¹ He married Lucretia Day, daughter of Major Ezekiel Day, on 16 May 1836 in Portland, Cumberland, Maine, the ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Vail.^4,5 Kiah Bayley Sewall died on 19 August 1865 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 57 of pneumonia which he had had for a week which he contracted upon a trip up the Mississippi conducting his wife and children to Portland.⁶

     Krouse Sewall was born on 8 June 1844 in Marengo County, Alabama.¹ He was the son of Dr. Francis Lewis Sewall and Sarah Angelica (Ann) Singleton.¹ Krouse Sewall married firstly Frances Ann Bates, daughter of John L. Bates and Lavinia Grimshaw, on 31 October 1876 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas.³ Krouse Sewall married secondly Hattie Muckle, daughter of Jeptha Muckle and Martha Andrews, in 1898.¹ Krouse Sewall and Hattie Muckle appear on the census of 13 June 1900 at Marlin, Texas.⁴ Krouse Sewall died on 15 November 1926 in Marlin, Texas, at the age of 82.¹ He was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Marlin,, Apparently his grave bears a birth date of 28 May 1831.⁵

     Laura Arrabella Sewall was born on 11 August 1835 in Somerset Twp., Strafford County, New Hampshire.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Chapman Sewall and Paulina Fairfield Wentworth.¹ Laura Arrabella Sewall died on 26 October 1835.²

     Laura B. Sewall was born in 1877 in Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Justin Alfred Sewall and Nellie N. (Unknown).¹

     Laura Ella Sewall was born on 4 July 1900 in Marlin, Texas.² She was the daughter of Krouse Sewall and Hattie Muckle.¹ Laura Ella Sewall married Dr. Joseph Alexander Bybee in September 1930.¹ Laura Ella Sewall died on 24 July 1991 at the age of 91.¹

     Lavinia or Levina Sewall was born circa 1869 in Maine.¹ She was the daughter of George Washington Sewall and Lucy E. Briggs.¹

     Lt. Col. Lee Goodrich Sewall M.D.. Hospital Director, Veteran's Association hospital, Perry Point, Maryland. He was born on 25 August 1907 in Marlin, Texas.^2,3 He was the son of Dr. Francis Bates Sewall and Mary Lee Goodrich.¹ Lt. Col. Lee Goodrich Sewall M.D. died on 12 February 1971 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, at the age of 63.¹ He was buried on 16 February 1971 in Little Rock National Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas.⁴

     Lena Estelle Sewall was born on 4 April 1868 probably in Sumner, Maine.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Ripley Sewall and Mary Jane Fairchild.¹

     Leon Sewall was born in 1869 in Northfield, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Horace Porter Sewall and Sarah F. Jackman.¹

     Leonard Oliver Sewall was born on 30 April 1859 in Maine.^1,2 He was the son of William Harmon Sewall and Lydia Jane Moore.¹ Leonard Oliver Sewall appears on the census of 1 June 1900 at York, Maine, living on his own, he gives his occupation as that of a pastry cook.³ He died on 23 January 1941 at the age of 81.⁴ He was buried in First Parish Cemetery of York, Maine.⁴

     Leonora Sewall was born on 21 December 1832 in Chesterville, Franklin County, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Moody Sewall and Hannah H. Johnson.¹

     Lettice Sewall was the daughter of Nicholas Lewis Sewall.¹

     Levi Sewall was born on 24 May 1800 in Farmington, Franklin County, Maine.^2,3 He was the son of Rev. Samuel Sewall and Abigail Trask.¹ He lived in Phippsburg, Maine, until 1826, when he moved to Farmington, where he remained until 1839. He then moved to Readfield, Maine, where he remained until 1841, when he went to Wilton, Maine, remaining for a year. His property was invested in the Readfield shoe factory, which was burned in 1841, in August. In June, 1841, he and his sons began clearing a farm six miles from Crystal Stream. He was a shoemaker by trade. He finally settled at Island Falls, five miles distant from any neighbors. He intended to build a factory there, in order to get water power from Island Falls, but never carried out his design. He was a Whig in polities.⁴ Levi Sewall married Rebecca Alexander, daughter of David Alexander, on 12 September 1824 in Harpswell.⁵ Levi Sewall died on 4 December 1860 in Island Falls, Maine, at the age of 60.⁵

     Levi Sewall was born on 3 March 1835.² He was the son of Levi Sewall and Rebecca Alexander.¹ Levi Sewall died on 5 May 1838 at the age of 3.²

Levi Sewall married Mary Ann Robards, daughter of Solomon Roberts and Polly Brown, on 25 December 1832 in Gloucester.² Levi Sewall died on 19 May 1880 in Rockport, Massachusetts, at the age of 75 of apoplexy.³

     Levi Henry Sewall was born on 17 February 1833.² He was the son of Levi Sewall and Rebecca Alexander.¹ Levi Henry Sewall died on 14 January 1835 at the age of 1.²

     Levi Smith Sewall was born on 2 November 1835 in Rockport, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Levi Sewall and Mary Ann Robards.¹ Levi Smith Sewall married firstly Bertha Foster.² Levi Smith Sewall died on 4 April 1894 in Salem, Massachusetts, at the age of 58.²

     Lewis Sewall was born on 2 February 1760 in Charles County, Maryland.² He was the son of Charles Sewall and Ann Violette Goodrich.¹ Lewis Sewall married Elizabeth Howard Wailes, daughter of Edward Lloyd Wailes, on 30 October 1797 in Columbia County, Georgia.³ On 18 April 1810 Lewis Sewall was appointed Register of the Land Office in the Mississippi Territory east of Pearl River and resigned becuase of the pressure of work and failing eyesight in about 1817. Lewis Sewall died after 1832 in Washington County, Alabama.⁴
In an article entitled "Reminiscences of Old St. Stephens" in the Transactions of the Alabama Historical Society 1898-99, Vol. III there appears: "Lewis Sewall. Within its precincts there once wandered around an erratic individual, something of a poet. I have often heard my father repeat with great gusto a comic poem written by him on a very common subject. I remember the lines jingled harmoniously, and the rhythm was smooth and flowing, but it was not at all refined. Still it was enough to credit the old town with a poet - Captain Sewall. Some may think that there was quite an array of titles among those old inhabitants. Well, so there was; and let us bear in mind that those were days when a title, either civil or military or professional, stood for something"

One of his poems addressed to Dr. Thomas Sewall of Washington, D.C. reads

"When Cromwell ruled Old England's Isle,
And drove the Stuarts into exile,
Two Henry Sewalls, gallant hearts,
From principle, took different parts:
Your Ancestor, as poets sing,
Join'd Oliver; and mine, the King:
But when the second Charles return'd,
And Cromwell's corps was hang'd or burn'd,
Your ancestor to Boston steer'd,
And mine for Maryland, I've heard;
Our family records say 'tis true,
And hence these lines I write to you.
Three volant Bees our Arms display,
As English heralds' records say;
And for the Crest, a Leopard's head
Is plac'd, although the beast is dead.
You now can tell, or bad, or good,

     Lewis Sewall was born on 25 December 1867.¹ He was the son of Dr. Francis Lewis Sewall and Ann Amelia DuBose.¹ Lewis Sewall died on 8 July 1934 at the age of 66.¹

     Lewis Sewall was born before 1802.¹ He was the son of Clement Sewall and Eleanor Carberry.¹ Lewis Sewall died after 1822.¹

     Lewis Edward R. Sewall was born circa 1855 in Barbour County, Alabama.¹ He was the son of Edward Wailes Sewall and Mariah Susan Chapman.²

     Lex Noyes Sewall was born in 1926.¹ He was the son of Edward Dennis Sewall and Charlotte Noyes.¹ Lex Noyes Sewall died in 1995 ¹ and is buried in Oneida Community Cemetery, Kenwood, Madison County, New York.¹

     Lilly Sewall was born on 24 October 1863 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.² She was the daughter of Charles Chauncy Sewall Jr. and Mary Fisk Fairbanks.¹ Lilly Sewall died on 7 November 1863.²

     Lina Gove Sewall was born in February 1858 in Maine.² She was the daughter of Colonel Frederic Dummer Sewall and Evelina Hill Gove.¹

     Lizzie Ann Sewall was born on 15 October 1857 in York, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of David Sewall and Mary Celeste Eldridge. Lizzie Ann Sewall married Allen C. Moulton on 10 June 1880 in York the service was conducted by O.H. Stevens.² Lizzie Ann Sewall died on 7 May 1929 at the age of 71.¹

     Lizzie Ives Sewall was born on 5 September 1868 in Salem, Massachusetts.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Sewall and Margaret Perkins Ives.² Lizzie Ives Sewall died on 4 December 1876 in Salem, Massachusetts, at the age of 8 of diptheria.³

     Louisa A. Sewall was born on 14 August 1824 in Maine.² She was the daughter of Daniel Sewall and Martha Tolman.¹ Louisa A. Sewall married Lt. Joshua Follansbee on 10 April 1843 in Washington, District of Columbia, at the residence of Dr. Sewall by the Rev. John Davis.³ Louisa A. Sewall died on 2 February 1844 in Farmington, Maine, at the age of 19.⁴ She was buried in Center Meeting Cemetery, Farmington, Maine.
