Edmund Willoughby Sewell and Susan Stewart.² Alexander W. Sewell married Jane Elizabeth Helen Oliver, daughter of Thomas Hamilton Oliver and Jane Elizabeth Jamieson, on 13 May 1871 in Quebec the service was conducted by the Rev. H.D. Powis.¹ Alexander W. Sewell died on 23 May 1891 in Quebec City at the age of 55.³ He was buried on 25 May 1891 in Mount Hermon Cemetery, plot 868.^3,2

Henry Doyle Sewell M.A. and Edith Pierce Morgan.¹ Algernon Percy Sewell was baptised on 25 April 1879 at the the Parish Church, Headcorn, Kent.³ He married Caroline Winifred Horne, daughter of John Horne and Jane Charlotte Cassan, on 14 June 1911 in St. Peter's Church, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, Rev. G. Cassan Horne (brother of the bride) & Rev. E. Chadwick, Vicar, officiated.¹ Algernon Percy Sewell died on 30 May 1935 at Holders, Great Chart, Ashford, Kent, at the age of 56.⁴ His funeral took place on 4 June 1935 at Great Chart Church, Great Chart, Kent, at 3pm. He requested that there should be no mourning.⁴ Admitted Pembroke College, Cambridge, Oct. 1898. Schools, Monkton Combe and Tonbridge. Matriculated Michs. 1898; B.A. 1901. Articled to Mr. J.C. Knocker, solicitor, Tonbridge. Admitted as a Solicitor, 1905; practised in London, at East Grinstead and at 11 Bank Street, Ashford, Kent. Served in the Great War, 1914-19 (Capt. and Adjt., R.G.A; mentioned in despatches).⁵

Colonel, 15th Foot, later the East Yorkshire Regiment. He retired 1 April 1866.
He had entered military service as an ensign, by purchase, on 16 February 1838. Promoted Lieutenant by purchase, 18 September 1840; appointed Adjutant, 16 May 1845; promoted Captain, by purchase, 28 June 1850; Major (without purchase) on 12 November 1858 vice Mansergh who had been dismissed the service by the sentence of a General Court Martial. On 20 May 1866 he was promoted Lt. Colonel on half pay.¹ Lt. Col. Algernon Robinson Sewell was born on 31 August 1817.² He was the son of Chief Justice Jonathan/3 Sewell and Henrietta Smith. Lt. Col. Algernon Robinson Sewell was baptised on 18 December 1817 at Holy Trinity Church, Quebec.² He married Henrietta Caroline Staples, daughter of John James Staples and Anna Loughlin, on 14 March 1850 in St. Paul's Church, Candy, Ceylon.^3,4 Lt. Col. Algernon Robinson Sewell died on 10 January 1875 in Quebec at the age of 57 of inflamation of the lungs.^5,6 He was buried on 12 January 1875 in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Plot 622.^5,6

Alice Sewell died on 18 April 1921 in Bath, Somerset, at the age of 82.^5,6
