Samuel Shepard graduated in 1658 from Harvard.2 He was ordained on 15 November 1665 at Rowley.4 He married Dorothy Flint on 30 April 1666 in Rowley the service was conducted by Daniel Gookin.5,6 He inherited Tyng's Mt. Wollaston Farm that later descended to Col. John Quincy and Pres. John Quincy Adams. Thomas Shepard's land is mentioned in Braintree town records in 1673 when the road to Hough's Neck was laid out.7
Rev. Samuel Shepard died on 7 April 1668 in Rowley, Massachusetts, at the age of 26.4 He was buried on 9 April 1668.6

Thomas Shepard was ordained on 13 April 1659.6 He died on 22 December 1677 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, at the age of 42 having contracted smallpox from a dying parishioner who had requested a pastoral visit.3
