     Viola F. Causey was the daughter of George Washington Causey and Tracy Clemetine Ella Sharp.² Viola F. Causey married George Alexander Sewall, son of Francis Lewis Sewall, on 8 March 1903 he gives Viola Sewall as his next of kin on his WW1 draft registration form.^1,2 Viola F. Causey and George Alexander Sewall were living at Athens, Henderson County, Texas, on 12 September 1918.¹

     Sir Basil Shillito Cave K.C.M.G., C.B. was the son of Thomas Cave.² Sir Basil Shillito Cave K.C.M.G., C.B. married Mary Creighton McClellan, daughter of Rev. John Brown McClellan and Emily Elliott Pierce, on 19 February 1892 at the British Consulate and afterwards at the Cathedral in Zanzibar.² Sir Basil Shillito Cave K.C.M.G., C.B. died in 1931.¹

     Kenneth McClellan Cave was born on 16 August 1893 in Zanzibar.¹ He was the son of Sir Basil Shillito Cave K.C.M.G., C.B. and Mary Creighton McClellan.¹

     Ann Cavendish was the daughter of Henry Cavendish. Ann Cavendish married Vincent Lowe, son of Patrick Lowe and Jane Harpur.¹

     Agnes de Caverswall was the daughter of John de Caverswall.² Agnes de Caverswall married Sir Adam de Peshall, son of Sir Richard de Swynnerton and Margery Knighton, this is also the view of Erdswicke who says this Adam married one of the daughters and heirs of John Caverswall, and had Bishop's Offley by reason thereof; for whose better advancement, his father gave him Horseley, to make him a marriage fit for an heiress. The distinguished author of the History of the Manor and Parish of Blymhill says it was not the daughter and heir of John de Caverswall by whom Adam de Peshale obtained Bishop's Offley. This manor was acquired by his marriage with Joan, the daughter of John de Eyton and relict of Sir Henry de Creswalle or Kerswell (which is an altogether different family from Caverswall, though it has often been confounded with it), which Henry had held it of John de Eyton, of Eyton on the Wyldmore, by military service, Wyldmoor being part of the Pantulf's Barony of Wemme.^2,3

     William Caverswall was the son of Joan Ercall.¹

     Ann Cawarden was baptised on 12 September 1581.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown).¹ Ann Cawarden was buried on 26 January 1583.¹

     Catherine Cawarden was the daughter of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown). Catherine Cawarden was buried on 12 July 1586.

     David Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware was the son of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Elizabeth Purefoy.¹ David Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware married Maude or Matilda Westcote of Handsacre.^1,3 David Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware was buried on 14 August 1554 in St. Nicholas, Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire,, (the Bagot ms. giving a date of Apr 1558 quae.).^4,5

     Elizabeth Cawarden was baptised on 11 November 1577.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown).¹

     John Cawarden was the son of John Cawarden and Katharine Gresley.² John Cawarden married Elizabeth Massey, daughter of John Massey of Grafton.³ John Cawarden died circa 24 May 1485.¹

     John Cawarden was the son of Sir John Cawarden and Elizabeth Malveysin.¹ John Cawarden married firstly Katharine Gresley, daughter of Sir John Gresley of Drakelow and Colton and Elizabeth Clarell, Katherine, who is only mentioned as having married Sir William Peto (occ. 1430, d. 1464-5) who was a son of William de Peto (d. 1406-7) by Joan daughter of Sir John Thornbury and subsequently wife of Sir Robert Corbet. William and Katherine had a son John, born in about 1434 (d. 1487-8), who in 1453-4 married Eleanor Mantfeld.

It is possible that this Katherine had previously married John Cawarden, of Mavesyn Ridware, before 1426, and had a son John and several other children by him: but as her husband survived her and married secondly Margaret Boteler and did not die till July 8, 1475, there is some unexplained mystery. Possibly there were two sisters Katherine,
or conceivably a divorce.^1,2,3 John Cawarden married secondly Margaret Butler, daughter of Sir William Butler, (there was no issue of this marriage).⁴ John Cawarden died on 7 July 1475.¹

     John Cawarden was the son of William Cawarden.¹

     Sir John Cawarden was the son of Richard de Cawarden. Sir John Cawarden married Elizabeth Malveysin, daughter of Sir Robert Malveysin of Rideware-Malveysin and Shippeley and Joanna Chetwynd of Ingestre, in 1418.¹

     Joyce Cawarden was baptised on 11 February 1579.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown).¹ Joyce Cawarden married firstly John Chadwick, son of Humphrey Chadwick and Margaret Hall, on 27 May 1594 in St. Nicholas, Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire, between 1596 and 1618 they had five children.^2,3 Joyce Cawarden married secondly John Birkenhead say 1626 in Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire.⁴ Joyce Cawarden was living at Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, in 1646.⁴

     Mary Cawarden was baptised on 8 July 1588.² She was the daughter of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown).^1,2 Mary Cawarden married Henry Sewall, son of Henry Sewall and Margaret Grazebrook, on 21 October 1601 in St. Nicholas, Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire.³ Mary Cawarden died in 1602 (Duff has her die, without issue, before the age of 20, (p.13)).⁴

     Matilda or Maude Cawarden was baptised on 30 December 1578 the parish records indicate the second day of the month of either Oct., Nov. or Dec 1578.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown).¹

     Richard de Cawarden, died in 1447.

     Robert Cawarden was born in 1472.¹ He was the son of John Cawarden and Elizabeth Massey.² Robert Cawarden married Eleonora Bagot, daughter of Sir John Bagot of Blithefield and Anne Kinston.³ Robert Cawarden died on 10 June 1547 in St. Nicholas, Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire.⁴

     Thomas Cawarden was baptised on 7 November 1576 (Stebbing Shaw gives 8 November).^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Ann (Unknown).¹

     Thomas Cawarden was the son of William Cawarden.¹

     Sir Thomas Cawarden Knt. was born in 1545.¹ He was the son of David Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Maude or Matilda Westcote of Handsacre.¹

     Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware was the son of David Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Maude or Matilda Westcote of Handsacre.² Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware is also recorded as Thomas Cawarden.³ He married Ann (Unknown).^4,2 Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware died on 7 January 1592.⁵ He was buried on 9 January 1592 in St. Nicholas, Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire.⁵

     Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware was the son of Robert Cawarden and Eleonora Bagot.¹ Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware married Elizabeth Purefoy, daughter of Thomas Purefoy.¹ Thomas Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware was buried on 19 June 1547 in St. Nicholas, Mavesyn Ridware, Staffordshire.^2,3

     William Cawarden was the son of David Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware and Maude or Matilda Westcote of Handsacre.¹
